President Obama’s second term is coming to an end, but he’s still President of the United States until noon on January 20,2017. Throughout all the obstruction and racism, this president and his family have conducted themselves with the utmost grace, class, and dignity. Their greeting to the American people, complete with an absolutely stunning family photo, for Christmas Day was no exception. The President tweeted:
“The best part of the holidays is the time we share with those we love. On behalf of Michelle, Malia, and Sasha, Merry Christmas everyone.”

These people will be missed dearly, especially considering who they are being replaced with. This photo, and this greeting, however, remind us all that we are all Americans, and that despite our differences, we should remember what this season is about, no matter which holiday – if any – we celebrate individually. These people understand what it means to occupy the White House, and what it means to set an example for the American people. Barack and Michelle Obama managed to raise the classiest, most beautiful daughters ever, all in the spotlight, and under exceptionally historic and difficult circumstances.
No matter which side of the political aisle one falls on, the Obamas definitely set an example by being extraordinary people and invaluable Americans.
Merry Christmas, First Family. We will miss you dearly.
